'What I Hate!!!'

The most interesting section of Eric Harris' website is the 5-page rant listing his many and absurd Hates.

His hates include slow drivers in the fast lane, people who mispronounce especially, rap videos, country music, Missy Elliot, Puff Daddy Combs, homosexuals, and Star Wars fans. It is a tough contest, but for my money, the most absurd entry is on the WB network, at the bottom of the third page.

This is widely-cited as an illustration of Eric's hate or rage, but as I wrote in the book, what Eric is really revealing here is contempt. Contempt is actually key to understanding Eric and what drove him: a preposterous superiority complex and total disgust with the likes of us humans.
